Selkirk Vintage Rally

The weekend of 17/18th September saw some of the committee along with helpers Chris Kerr & Jim Williams pop down to Selkirk for the Annual Vintage Rally with the hope of getting the club a bit more recognised. Arriving just in time to help them do this, was the brand new club branded gazebo, which you really can’t fail to notice!

It was an interesting weekend, with showers throughout, however that didn’t dampen the spirits of those who were camping, also enjoying a hog-roast and live music on the Saturday evening.

Sunday saw a busy club stand, helped most probably by the very different lineup of vehicles from what other stands had. Jim brought along his VW Beetle and Bob brought along a Argo.

G.R.C was kept busy, as he was chosen to lead the road run / procession on a pre-determined route around the local area, however very quickly proceeded to get himself and several other vehicles lost! He did however make up for it later on in the afternoon when he recovered an HGV loaded with tractor from the showground!
