Membership Information

Membership for SORC is the entry point to the world of organised motorsport. We deliberately keep the annual fee as low as possible – we just cover the costs of our levy to the UK’s governing body, The MSA.

    1. Hi David,
Apologies, have just picked this up.
You can either join online via http://www.sorc.org.uk/join or on the day at an event.
The calendar should be http://sorc.org.uk/events-calendar which currently shows the last event of this year. You should then be able to scroll through the calendar once it’s populated with future events – though we won’t be doing that until nearer/after the AGM.
http://www.sorc.org.uk/news also provides the latest updated events coming up and anything else relevant. We also send out an email, once you’re a member roughly once a month to let you know what’s happening too.

If I can be of any more assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me, via scotorc@gmail.com

      Thanks
      Graham

  1. Hi there.
I have just bought an old defender 110 hardtop for some fun alongside my daughter.
I am going to join the club but was just wondering about the rules for having her come along as she is only 10?
I appreciate she won’t be able to be in the vehicle for the more hardcore stuff but for things like the Santa Hunt is she OK to be a passenger?
Are there lots of events she can be part of?
She is quite big for her age and has a good mechanical mind so understands more than most kids about safety around vehicles and absolutely loves being out in the land rover with me.
    Thanks

    1. Hi Barry,
Apologies, have just picked this up.

You can either join on the day at an event, or online via http://www.sorc.org.uk/join – the latter having the benefit of auto-renewal. There’s no problem with having your daughter in as a passenger during either the Trials or Punch Hunts, so long as she is wearing her belt. It does say in the MSA (motorsport governing body) rules that she should also be in the rear seats, at least during the “competitive sections”.

If I can be of any more assistance, please get in touch with me via scotorc@gmail.com

      Thanks
      Graham
